After the success of Olivier Messiaen's Harawi, Marie Elizabeth Seager and pianist Toms Ostrovskis came back to the Latvian National Library on the 1st of May, 2021 to perform a new recital programme of rarely performed French song cycles by Debussy, Ravel and Daniel-Lesur.

Marie Elizabeth Seager : " "Longing for escape"  is a way to respond to the feeling of being locked up, that so many people have been experiencing these past months all around the world. Through our senses and imagination, this music makes us - public and performers - travel to exotic places like Greece, Cambodia, the Ancient Persia and ... Paris. But of course, the covid-related restrictions meant that we had to do a live streamed recital, and to count on our public at a distance. That was a very different kind of experience!"
